The Thought was a new wave band from Broek Op Langedijk, The Netherlands, that may be regarded as a continuation of 'new beat' outfit, The Rousers (1977-1981). The band existed from 1981 to 1986 and released three albums. After the demise of The Rousers, band members Cock de Jong (guitar vocals), Wieb Zigtema (guitar, synths, vocals) and Jan de Jong (drums) formed The Thought in late 1981.
